Orphan and Vulnerable Children Project
STEPHEN LEWIS FOUNDATION
The project consists of developmental stimulation for 2 ½ to 6 years OVC, Afterschool tutoring, youth group and grandmother support group.
HIV Prevention Project
NACA
Funded by NACA on annually basis since 2012. The project addresses the key drivers of the HIV and AIDS epidemic with a range of clients — from individuals, to families, to companies and in social and recreational sites: Promotion of HIV testing services and administering risk reduction plans to facilitate behavioural change and to teach entrepreneur skills for self-sustenance. For the youth, a particularly vulnerable population, BORNUS provides life skills education through the program called ‘Social Transformation and Empowerment Projects (STEPS).
Advancing Partners and Communities
USAID
Funded by USAID through FHI360 since 2015 on annual basis. The APC Botswana is ensuring that communities are measurably contributing towards the achievement of the 90-90-90 targets in the seven PEPFAR districts and Ghanzi.
Alcohol and Substance Abuse Intervention Project
MINISTRY OF HEALTH
Funded by Ministry of Health and Wellness under the Alcohol Levy Fund since 2015. The project is aimed at raising awareness about the dangerous of alcohol and drug abuse and rehabilitatingalcohol and drug dependents.
Health and Wellness Services
BORNUS
This project was introduced as income generating activities, where by companies and organisation are charged a fee and provided with wellness services for their employees or clients. The services include screening individuals for different health conditions, providing counselling and education on different topics.
Palliative Care
BORNUS
The project started in 1999 as care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS and currently there is no funding for it. While prevention remains the cornerstone of HIV-AIDS efforts, BORNUS continues to provide Palliative Care and Home Based Care for clients who suffer from life threatening illnesses.
Community Library Services
BORNUS
The library was constructed with funds solicited from Blue Lupin Foundation by Stephen Lewis Foundation in Canada and was officially opened in 2016.
